Kent Road Closure Begins Midnight Tonight for Railroad Track Work On Danbury Branch Line
Kent Road will close Aug. 7–12 for railroad track repairs. Local access only; detours posted. Commuters advised to plan ahead.
WILTON, CT — Kent Road will close to through traffic starting at midnight on Wednesday, Aug. 7, to allow for railroad track work on the Danbury Branch line, Wilton Police Department officials announced.
The closure, which is expected to remain in effect through the early morning hours of Monday, Aug. 12, is necessary to maintain the railroad in a state of good repair, according to local authorities.
During this period, no vehicles will be permitted to cross the tracks on Kent Road. Access will be restricted to local traffic only within the immediate construction zone.

A posted detour will guide motorists south on Old Belden Hill Road to Grist Mill Road and back to Route 7. Signage has been installed along the detour route to assist with traffic flow.
Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area and use alternate routes to prevent delays.
