Lovers Lane And Arrowhead Road Bridges Begin Construction In April
Wilton DPW expects both the Lovers Lane and Arrowhead Road Bridge projects to be completed in the summer of 2024.
WILTON, CT — The Department of Public Works will begin reconstruction of the bridges on Lovers Lane and Arrowhead Road beginning in April.
- Relocating existing overhead utilities;
- Installing temporary bridges to allow a lane of alternating traffic throughout the projects' duration;
- Installing temporary traffic lights at both ends of the temporary bridges; and
- Removing existing bridges and installing new bridges.
All school bus stops will remain at their current locations.
DPW expects both projects to be completed in the summer of 2024, according to a news release from DPW director Frank Smeriglio.

DPW is advising residents to allow extra time to travel through the work areas.
"We also encourage residents interested in using the trail system to utilize the new pedestrian bridge to access the trail — residents can park at the Wilton Train Station parking lot on Station Road," Smeriglio said.

Dayton Construction Company will be the contractor for the Lovers Lane project, and Brunalli Construction Company will oversee the Arrowhead Road Bridge Reconstruction.
