Middlebrook Student Elected Ms President US Wilton For 2025
Middlebrook 8th grader Anaya Uttamchandani elected Ms President US Wilton, with a platform focused on AI school security solutions.

WILTON, CT — Anaya Uttamchandani, an eighth-grade student at Middlebrook Middle School, has been elected Ms President US Wilton for 2025, following her participation in the Ms President US girls civic leadership program. Her platform focused on school security through artificial intelligence, and she was joined on the ticket by Vice President-elect Namya Chouhan.
The annual Signature Campaign and Election event, held at Wilton High School, featured 23 participants from grades 4 through 8 across 12 Connecticut towns. More than 200 community members, elected officials, and civic leaders attended the event, which showcased each candidate's platform and public speaking skills.
Connecticut Secretary of the State Stephanie Thomas delivered the keynote address, commending the participants for their thoughtful proposals. “These are the issues that I’ve seen tackled every day in the state legislature and at the federal level,” she said.

State and local officials attending included State Senator Ceci Maher, State Representatives Savet Constantine and Anne Hughes, and Ridgefield First Selectperson Rudy Marconi, Wilton First Selectman Toni Boucher, and Redding First Selectwoman Julia Pemberton, among others.
As Ms President US Wilton, Uttamchandani has been invited by First Selectwoman Lynne Vanderslice to engage in local civic activities over the coming year. The program, a six-month leadership initiative, aims to inspire and equip girls with the tools to pursue roles in public service.
