Wilton Police Logs for Feb 22-28, 2012. Arrest information does not indicate a conviction.

Breach of peace

2/21:  A 43-year-old Bridgeport man was issued a misdemeanor charge for breach of peace in the second degree after her allegedly pushed his girlfriend to the ground after the two had been in a verbal altercation, police said. Police initially responded to the call, which happened off of Danbury Road at Zion Hill,  when a passerby reported that a man had tried to throw a woman into traffic, police said. However, after police interviewed the couple, it was determined there was no intent to throw the girlfriend into traffic, and that the man had simply  “shoved” her and did not mean for her to fall down, according to police. Police also said that the two were evicted from a bus after the male got into a dispute with the driver, and also that the two were sharing a pint of vodka. The man was given a promise to appear in court.
