New Voting Districts for a New Decade

Wilton’s three districts have been totally reconfigured to comply with the state’s new redistricting plan, required every 10 years.

All voters now included in Wilton’s newly-configured District 2 will vote at a new polling place, Cider Mill School on School Road, instead of Driscoll School. New voting maps, showing all three districts, will soon be posted in central locations throughout town, including Wilton Town Hall and Wilton Library. 

 New districts and voting locations

• District 1 () –serves the entire northernmost part of the town, the northern sides of Cannon, Olmstead Hill, and Cheese Spring Roads.
• District 2 () –covers the western and southwestern side of Wilton, the south side of Cheese Spring Road, parts of Belden Hill Road, and the west side of Westport Road.
• District 3 ()— serves the southeast section of Wilton bordering Weston and Westport , the south side of Cannon Road, Wilton Center, and the east side of Westport Road.

Many Wilton streets are divided between two voting districts.

“You may vote at a completely different polling place from your neighbor across the street,” said Wilton Republican Registrar Tina Gardner.

Democratic Registrar Carole Young-Kleinfeld reminded voters to check their mail for three separate voting notifications from the registrars over the coming months. Voters should expect to receive their first notice in April.

Wilton’s registrars of voters will be at Speak Up, Wilton on Saturday, March 3 at 9 a.m. to answer questions about the new voting districts.  Voters may also contact the at (203) 563-0111 or check the Wilton website at www.wiltonct.org/departments/Voter/voter4.asp to find their polling place.
