Does anyone in your family work in politics or government? None, though I am currently serving as Chair of the Board of Finance
Previous public office, appointive or elective: I was elected to the Board of Finance in 2021, and unanimously selected by the members as Chair in 2023
Why are you seeking this office? I’m a lifelong Wilton resident, and this town has always been home. As Chair of the Board of Finance, I’ve worked to bring strong leadership, fiscal discipline, and long-range planning to how we manage taxpayer dollars. I care deeply about Wilton’s future, which is why I’ve made transparency and accountability a priority - from surveys that capture residents’ voices to open conversations with neighborhood groups and community organizations. I’m running again to continue protecting taxpayers, strengthening Wilton’s finances, and ensuring our town thrives for generations to come.
The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is ____, and this is what I intend to do about it: The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is keeping Wilton’s taxes affordable while still investing in the schools, services, and infrastructure that make this town such a special place to live. As Chair of the Board of Finance, I’ve advanced long-range planning, fiscal discipline, and transparency to ensure every dollar is spent wisely. I intend to continue leading with accountability - engaging residents through surveys and community conversations, holding departments to clear standards, and making disciplined financial choices that protect taxpayers today while investing in Wilton’s future for the next generation.
What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post? The major differences between me and the other candidates come down to roots, experience, and leadership. I’m a lifelong Wiltonian - I grew up here, went through our public schools, and chose to return with my family because I care deeply about this community. Professionally, I’m a financier, so I bring the skills needed to evaluate budgets, manage risk, and plan long-term with rigor. And as the current Chair of the Board of Finance, I’ve already been leading Wilton through some of the most important fiscal decisions we’ve faced. That combination of local roots, professional financial expertise, and proven leadership on the BOF is what sets me apart.
What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign? Beyond affordability and fiscal discipline, there are several issues I intend to address during my campaign. First, improving transparency and accountability in town government - making sure residents have a real voice in decisions, whether through surveys, open forums, or direct outreach. Second, strengthening Wilton’s long-term competitiveness by investing wisely in schools, infrastructure, and town services so families want to come here and stay here. Third, ensuring capital projects are evaluated with rigor so we avoid surprises and manage costs responsibly. And finally, fostering a culture of leadership that looks past short-term fixes and instead positions Wilton for success for the next generation.
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job? As Chair of the Board of Finance, I’ve worked to make Wilton’s financial management more disciplined, transparent, and forward-looking. I introduced annual budget surveys to give residents a direct voice in shaping priorities, and I launched a regular BOF newsletter to keep the community better informed. I’ve met with neighborhood groups, parent associations, and civic organizations to ensure decisions reflect the full range of voices in town. On the financial side, I established a new long-term planning fund to strengthen Wilton’s future and worked closely with town leadership to evaluate major investments in infrastructure, schools, and services with rigor and accountability. Professionally, my background as a financier gives me the expertise to evaluate budgets, manage risk, and plan strategically. Together, these accomplishments show not only that I can handle the responsibilities of this job, but that I’ve already been delivering results that protect taxpayers today while positioning Wilton for long-term success.
What is the best advice anyone ever gave you? The best advice I ever got was: “Plan for the long game, but sweat the small stuff.” To me, that means always keeping an eye on the future while paying close attention to the details that matter day to day. It’s advice that shapes how I serve Wilton: thinking about what kind of town we want to leave for the next generation, while making sure we’re careful and responsible with every decision along the way.
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions? What I’d like voters to know is that I’m not just serving on the Board of Finance — I’m serving my hometown. I grew up in Wilton, went through the schools here, and chose to come back with my family because this community means everything to me. My approach has always been to combine professional financial discipline with a deep commitment to listening — through budget surveys, newsletters, and conversations with residents and local groups. I believe in leadership that’s transparent, accountable, and focused on the long game. My goal is simple: to keep Wilton affordable, protect taxpayers, and make smart investments in our schools, infrastructure, and services so the next generation can enjoy the same strong community that shaped me.
