Public Hearing on Storm Response Issues Takes Place Sept. 26

The following is a press release from the Selectman's Office.

The Town of Wilton and our local State Legislators have announced plans to hold a Public Information meeting on September 26, 2011 at 7:30 p.m. in the Wilton Library’s Brubeck Room. 

The purpose of the hearing will be to solicit comments from Wilton citizens on major storm related issues and to obtain suggestions that might be made to improve preparations and response to future emergencies.

In attendance will be Bill Brennan, First Selectman, Toni Boucher, State Senator, Gail Lavielle, State Representative, and other town officials.  Representatives from CL&P will also be present.

As future storms are inevitable, the town and CL&P recognize the need to make emergency response improvements when required.  Consequently, Wilton citizens’ inputs will be very important, as the Town plans for future storm emergencies.
