Rhoswyn Wellness To Bring Hot Yoga And Holistic Care To Wilton
Rhoswyn Wellness in Wilton will offer hot yoga, nutrition guidance, and community classes for all ages.
WILTON, CT — A new wellness facility offering a broad range of yoga and holistic services is set to open in Wilton on June 8, with a community open house scheduled for the day before.
Rhoswyn Wellness, founded by married Wilton residents Jerry Griffin and Anna Louise Williams, aims to provide a multi-disciplinary approach to health, combining yoga, nutrition counseling, Ayurveda, and other healing modalities.
Williams, the studio’s lead instructor and CEO, has been teaching yoga since 2011 and is certified in multiple disciplines, including sports science and astrology. She said the name “Rhoswyn” is derived from a Welsh word for “white rose,” a nod to her heritage and upbringing in Yorkshire, England.

The couple moved to Wilton in late 2018 after years in Brooklyn, with their 9-year-old daughter. Griffin, who has worked in public relations and marketing for more than two decades, said the idea for the business emerged during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“People were really seeking community and healing,” he said. “That’s when we knew it was time to do something more purposeful.”

After experiencing an initial dip at the outbreak of the COVID pandemic, the global yoga market size rose to an estimated $116 billion in 2024. Revenue is now forecast to nearly double to more than $200 billion by 2030, according to Grandview Research. In-person fitness and wellness participation show a 66.32 percent increase compared to pre-pandemic levels, with the North America yoga market generating a revenue of $29,200.8 billion in 2023, contributing approximately 35 percent of the global market in 2025. The United States holds the largest market share in this region due to our high concentration of yoga studios and wellness centers and a growing interest in holistic health.
Rhoswyn Wellness will be Wilton’s first hot yoga studio. Instruction in other practices include Yoga Flow, Yin Yoga, Urban Zen, Body Sculpt, and a hybrid workout that blends flow with strength training exercises.
Youth programs will launch in the fall, with offerings for children of all ages, including parent-child sessions. Williams and Griffin say the initiative was driven by community interest in more wellness opportunities for kids.
In addition to offering a full schedule of yoga classes, the center will also provide personalized nutritional consultations and community events.
The founders have promoted the business through a combination of social media, local pop-up classes, and grassroots marketing. They are both active in local groups including Girl Scouts, children’s theater, and youth cheerleading.
The open house on Saturday, June 7, will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the studio, located at 196 Danbury Road. Visitors can meet the 13-person instructor team, sample mini-classes, and tour the facility. Official classes begin the next day.
“Our goal is for Rhoswyn Wellness to be much more than a transactional class space,” Griffin said. “There are so many opportunities that will not only make the business successful but also weave us into the fabric of the community,” Griffin said.
