Route 106 Lane Closures Begin March 24 For Water Main Work In Wilton

Aquarion will begin work at Route 106 and Old Boston Road in Wilton on March 24. Lane closures and detours expected for about three weeks.

WILTON, CT — Aquarion Water Company crews will begin infrastructure work Monday, March 24, at the intersection of New Canaan Road (Route 106) and Old Boston Road, the Town of Wilton announced. The project is expected to take approximately three weeks.

The work will require the closure of Route 106 to through traffic between Old Boston Road and Old Kings Highway. However, one lane of alternating traffic will be maintained at the intersection to allow vehicles to access Old Boston Road. Drivers are advised to follow posted detour signs and consider alternate routes.

Construction will take place weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Traffic control personnel will be on site to guide vehicles safely through the area. Emergency vehicles will be granted immediate access, and all local bus stops will remain in place.
