FAIRFIELD, CT — With ten minutes remaining in the first half of Sunday's CIAC Class M boys lacrosse title match at Sacred Heart University, Notre Dame-West Haven trailed Wilton by a 7-2 count, but quickly struck for two goals in a 52-second span to get back into the contest. Those two scores apparently woke up a sleeping giant, as Wilton exploded for 14 unanswered tallies over the next 23 minutes en route to a 22-6 victory.

A dozen different Warriors dented the score sheet, paced by four goals from Charles Johnson and three each from Charles Rath and Benjamin Calabrese. Michael Wall, Sean Wiseman and Grant Masterson each found the net twice, while single tallies were recorded by Thomas McKiernan, Andrew Black, George Hahn, Ryan Leung, Matthew Giller and Lorenzo Caratozzolo.

Aiden Fletcher had three goals for the Green Knights, Dominick Basti scored twice and Kyle Grande added a single tally.
