10/15: Police received a report from a business located at 35 Danbury Road that a grey purse containing an orange leather wallet, which held several credit cards and about $200 in cash, had gone missing between 10/14 and 10/15. The purse is valued at approximately $50 and the wallet is valued at about $80.

10/13: Police said a 15-year-old female at Wilton High School had been found in possession of less than half an ounce of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. She has been referred to juvenile court, according to the report.

10/13: A Volkswagen station wagon crashed into a tree on Cannon Road, just east of Hurlbutt Street. When responders arrived on the scene, EMS examined the driver, identified as Molly Ann Szot, of Bethel, to be without injury, according to police reports. Police then investigated the scene further and found that Szot had been drinking, as she failed a field sobriety test. When the accused was taken into custody, police said that she was found to be in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. During processing, police said that Szot was found to have a BAC  of “almost 10 times the legal limit for a person under the age of 21.” Police charged the accused with DUI, DUI under 21, failure to drive in the established lane, and possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to the report.

Possibly stolen jewlery 

10/11: A 68-year-old female resident of Cherry Lane reported that two gold chains, a ruby and diamond gild ring, and a gold-and-jade earring set had gone missing from her home within the last three to four weeks, according to police reports. Police said the resident recently noticed the missing items, and that there were no signs of breaking and entering.
