A 'Cataclysmic' Response
12/18: A 16-year-old male called the police on his mother after she apparently tried to make him stop playing the online role-playing video game World of Warcraft. Police received the call just after 9 p.m. No arrests were made.
World of Warcraft, also known as WoW, has approximately 10.3 million players world wide according to a Nov. 2011 Yahoo news article.

More Mailboxes Smashed
12/15: Four mailboxes on Linden Tree road were smashed sometime after 9:30 p.m the previous evening.

12/16: A mailbox and its wooden post were ripped from the ground on Linden Tree road sometime between 12/16 and 12/17.
DUIs and Arrest Warrants
12/16:Police arrested Nick Schellong, 59, of Ridgefield, for DUI after his vehicle was stopped for “erratic operation” and after the accused failed a sobriety test, according to police reports. The accused was charged with DUI and failure to drive in the proper lane; he was released on a promise to appear in court, police said.
12/16: A 22-year-old Wilton man turned himself in on an outstanding warrant for “DUI and various other motor vehicle charges,” according to police reports. The accused, Andrew Kittel, of Wilton, was held on a $2,500 bond. The arrest stems from a one-car accident on Branchbrook Road which occurred on 8/3/2011.
12/17: Police processed a 38-year-old woman from Bridgeport after the woman was transported to Wilton Police Department, according to police reports. The woman, identified as Bonnie Piro, had been “picked up by Bridgeport Police on an unrelated case out of Trumbull” where it was learned that she had an active warrant for her arrest from Trumbull Police, reports read. Reports state that the accused was arrested for third-degree forgery and fifth-degree larceny. She was released on a $5,000 bond, police said.
12/16: Gerald Quinn, 50, of Wilton, turned himself in “on an outstanding arrest warrant for failure to respond to an infraction for previous [canine] violations,” according to police reports. The accused was issued a $250 bond and given a promise to appear in court, police said.

12/18: A 24-year-old woman from Meriden posted a $50,000 bond after turning herself in to Wilton police for a violation of probation crime, according to police reports. The woman, identified as Ashley Hunter, had been placed on parole for a 2008 narcotics violation, according to police. She was given a promise to appear in court.
