Teen Found With Over Two Pounds Of Pot: Wilton Police

Police say the accused was arrested following a traffic stop where officers detected a strong smell of marijuana.

WILTON, CT — A Danbury teenager was found with over two pounds of marijuana following a traffic stop in Wilton. Police say Tyler Nicholas Geragi, 19, was arrested with 37 ounces of marijuana (2.3125 pounds), two smaller ziplock bags containing 1.51 ounces of THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) concentrate and drug paraphernalia.

Police say they stopped Geragi's vehicle on Danbury Road near Sharp Hill road at around 9:20 p.m. Sunday night, and smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from the car. Another passenger, Mateus Nascimento, was charged possession of alcohol.

Police say there were also two juveniles in the car.

Geragi was charge with possession of over four ounces of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia and intent to sell. He was held on a $75,000 and was due in court Tuesday.
