That's a Lot of Mischief, Wilton

Numerous accounts of vandalism hit Wilton last week. These are the police logs for Nov. 22 - Nov. 28, 2011. Arrest information does not indicate a conviction.

 

Kids will be kids. And sometimes vandals. Apparently. 

11/22: A 17-year-old Wilton resident was charged with third-degree criminal mischief and simple trespassing for driving his or her car on the Allen’s Meadow field, according to police.

11/24: A mail box was reported damaged on Indian Hill Road.

11/25: Someone smashed a light fixture near a residential driveway on Tito Lane, according to police.

11/27: Police responded to an incident where a pumpkin had been thrown through a well house fixture, damaging it, on Nod Hill Road.

11/26: A cedar bench was reported missing from residence, and a “Private” sign was apparently torn from its post on Rivergate Woods Road, police said.

Nobody was 'watching' 

11/26: Police said a $1500 watch was reported stolen from the Louis Dreyfus Property Group.

Underage DUIs

11/26: Police stopped a vehicle on Ridgefield Road near Carriage Road for “erratic operation,” according to reports. The investigating officer found that the driver, Alexander Balistos, 20, of Wilton, was “driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs although his license was currently suspended for the same violation.” Police said they found marijuana in the vehicle as well. Police said they charged the accused with DUI under 21, traveling too fast, failure to drive right, driving under suspension, and possession of marijuana. He was given a promise to appear in court.

11/27: Police pulled over a vehicle for erratic driving, and upon subsequent inspection, found that the driver, Ian McSorely, 19, of New Canaan, to be intoxicated after he “failed sobriety tests” according to the police report. Police charged the accused with DUI under 21 and issued him a promise to appear in court.
