Three Suspects Linked to 11 Wilton Car Burglaries
Wilton police tracked down a trio of possible bandits, obtained evidence, and are working on an arrest warrant.

Earlier today, Wilton Police Department’s Lieutenant Donald Wakeman announced that a trio of suspects has been identified as being the perpetrators of the 11 car burglaries that afflicted residential Wilton
Wakeman said that, through “a lot of legwork,” the police were able to track down three men who resided in the Bridgeport area. The investigation involved the tracking of stolen checkbooks and credit cards, as well as a similar crime that recently occurred in a nearby town.
Police said they served two of the three suspects with search warrants at an apartment in Bridegport, where the two appeared to be living together. Searching the residence, police uncovered evidence to link the two individuals with the most recent car burglaries—Wakeman said that the burglaries committed last year have not been linked to the suspects. Police have seized the stolen goods and are now putting together an arrest warrant for all three allegedly involved.

“Hopefully by the end of the week, or the beginning of next week, I can announce the names of the guys arrested,” said Wakeman.
