4/14: Police broke up a party of nine underage youths last Saturday evening around 10:00 p.m, according to police. Police said they received via an anonymous call a noise complaint and went to investigate the residence, located on Moriarty Drive. When officers arrived, reports read that the officers found “a small amount of marijuana” at the residence and subsequently charged a 17-year-old Wilton male for possession of less than half-an-ounce of marijuana. Police said that the parents were not home, and that no other persons were charged but the gathering’s attendees’ parents were notified.

4/16: Police observed a vehicle run a stop sign at the intersection of Belden Hill Road and Old Belden Hill Road at 12:30 a.m, according to police reports. Upon subsequent inspection, police found the driver to be a 17-year-old youthful offender. Police said that the driver was found to be intoxicated with an elevated blood-alcohol content and to be in the possession of alcohol and tobacco. Additionally, the Conn. State curfew law prohibits persons under 18 years of age to drive between the hours of 11 p.m. and 5 a.m unless for certain exceptions. Police charged the offender with DUI under 21, possession of alcohol by a minor, possession of tobacco by a minor, failure to obey a stop sign, and driving after curfew. The offender was released on a promise to appear in juvenile court.

4/15: Police observed a vehicle travelling south on Rte. 7 at 1:30 a.m. moving outside of the white line, police reports read. While stopping the vehicle, police said that the driver, identified as Stephanie Strano, 38, of Hospital Ave, Danbury, was using her cell phone. Police said that upon subsequent inspection that the driver was “found to be intoxicated” and failed a field sobriety test. Police charged the accused with failure to drive in the established lane, distracted driving, DUI, and using a cell phone while driving, according to police reports. She was released on a promise to appear in court.
Bike stolen
Police received a report of a $1700 specialized 20-speed Tricross bicycle which was allegedly stolen from a residential barn on Lover’s Lane, Wilton. Police said the bike is silver and brown. Anyone with information should call the .
