United Ride: 1,000 Motorcycles To Roll Through Wilton On Sunday
Connecticut's largest annual 9/11 tribute will begin on Westport Road at the Westport Town Line and continue toward Danbury Road.
WILTON, CT — The motorcyclists of CT United Ride will roll through Wilton on Sunday, Sept. 11.
Connecticut's largest annual 9/11 tribute will begin on Westport Road at the Westport Town Line and continue toward Danbury Road. Once the bikers reach Danbury Road, all north bound traffic will be closed as the motorcycle procession, led by the Connecticut State Police, makes its way to Georgetown. Organizers expect the closure to last approximately forty-five minutes, from 11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and accommodate 1,000 motorcyclists or more.
Wilton Police and Wilton CERT members will be on hand to assist with closing intersections. Residents who need to travel during this time are being advised to make alternate arrangements and avoid Danbury Road/Route 7 between Westport Road/Route 33 to Route 107/Georgetown.
