WHS Students Shave Heads, Raise Money for Cancer Research

Wilton high school students and teachers raised over $18k for the St. Baldrick's Foundation.

For the fourth year at we held a St. Baldrick’s Foundation Event. Fifty-two male students and five teachers shaved their heads on March 6th and raised over $18,000 to support pediatric cancer research.

We want to thank the barbers who donated their time, clippers and support to this worthwhile cause: Jerry Ventrella and Sherry Grieco from ; Guy Monteleone from ; Roger Mancini The Traveling Barber; and Ashley Graff, Leon Ralph Vizzari, William Forcier and Courtney Eiser from The shavees and volunteers were kept in high spirits thanks to who donated Wilton’s best pizza and Wilton High School’s own, Downstairs Mixup, a band comprised of all sophomore who provided great music throughout the event. Members of Peervention volunteered to help with everything from registration to sweeping up hair.

To the shavees and everyone who made a donation, thank you for making a positive impact in the fight to stop childhood cancer. If you missed sponsoring someone before the event it’s still possible to donate online to him at www.StBaldricks.org
