WILTON, CT — The polls have closed in Wilton and the votes are being counted to determine key races such as the Board of Education.

Former State Senator Toni Boucher, a Republican, ran unopposed for first selectwoman. She succeeds Republican Lynne Vanderslice, who did not seek a third term.

Boucher has previously served on the Wilton Board of Education, the state Board of Education, Wilton’s Board of Selectmen, and as a state representative.

Selectmen

The Democratic candidates are Farah Masani and Ross Tartell, and the Republican candidate is Joshua Cole. Residents may vote for up to two candidates.

Board of Finance

The Democratic candidates are Slava Servello, Timothy A. Birch and David Tatkow. Rudy Escalante and Prasad Iyer are the Republican candidates. Residents may vote for up to three.

Board of Education

Democrats Patrick Pearson and Ruth DeLuca are vying for a full term on the Board of Education, as are Republicans Mark Shaner, Lori Bufano and Annie Chochos. Residents may vote for up to three candidates. For the two-term BOE seat, they may vote for either Republican Heather Priest or petitioning candidate Sara Sclafani.

Board of Assessment Appeals

Democrat Bob Zsunkan and Republican Dan Falta are a lock for the open seats on the Board of Assessment Appeals. There are two openings, and residents may cast two votes.

Planning and Zoning Commission

The Democratic candidate is Mark A. Ahasic, and the Republicans are Anthony Cenatiempo, Rick Tomasetti and Melissa Jean Rotini. Residents may vote for up to four candidates.

Zoning Board of Appeals

Only Republicans Mohammed Ayoub and Jeff Turner are running for the open seats on the Zoning Board of Appeals. Republican Lily Zoruba is the sole contender for Zoning Board of Appeals alternate.

Constable

For constables, it's a horse race: Democrats Jane Rinard, Ernie Ricco and Bo Mitchell are running against Republicans Maggie Bittner, Peter Wrampe and Angie Bertolino.
