Wilton Fire Department To Host Multi-Town Water Tanker Training Saturday

Wilton fire officials will host a multi-town water tanker training Sept. 20 near Middlebrook School from 8:30 a.m. to noon.

WILTON, CT — Several area fire departments will take part in a water tanker shuttle training exercise Saturday, Sept. 20, from 8:30 a.m. to noon in the area of Middlebrook School, according to town officials.

The training will be held on School Road, Middlebrook Farms Road, Carriage Road, Ridgefield Road, and Linden Tree Road at Kent’s Pond.

The exercise is designed to test water supply capabilities in neighborhoods without hydrants and to practice mutual aid agreements between the fire departments of Wilton, Weston, Westport, Norwalk, New Canaan, Ridgefield, Georgetown and Vista, N.Y.

Residents can expect to see multiple fire tankers operating in Wilton during the drill, officials said.
