Wilton Fire Department Welcomes Newest Recruit
Christopher Augustine was the recipient of numerous awards and citations in his previous gig with the Ridgefield Fire Department.

WILTON, CT — The Wilton Fire Department is welcoming its newest recruit.
Probationary Firefighter Christopher Augustine was sworn in at the station on May 2, and comes to the WFD from the Ridgefield Fire Department. He fills the vacancy caused by Lt. Brad Carlson’s retirement.
While in Ridgefield, the firefighter/paramedic received multiple unit citations, including the Ridgefield Star of Life Award, and the Department’s Award of Merit for demonstrating exceptional service and ability in deescalating a violent situation. He has also been employed as a paramedic for AMR out of Bridgeport.

Augustine is a graduate of the Connecticut Fire Academy, and Norwalk Community College, with a degree in Criminal Justice. He also holds a degree from Capital Community College in Paramedic Studies. He is certified to the level of Firefighter 2, and Hazardous Material Operational Level, Fire Instructor, and Fire Officer.
