Wilton High Ski Team Celebrates Its Seniors And Takes First Place
Wilton High School boys and girls ski teams both seized first place over rivals Daniel Hand and Weston, as well as 10 other teams.

As the Warrior skiers celebrated their 12 seniors yesterday at their third race of the season, its boys and girls teams both seized first place over rivals Daniel Hand and Weston as well as 10 other teams.

The Warrior boys were led by sophomore Cooper Buchicchio who finished first in the race overall (out of 148 skiers) with a combined two-run time of 46.84 seconds. Senior co-captain Harry Polito finished second for the Warriors and sixth overall (47.98) followed by senior Daniel Zoubarev (9th; 48.3); junior Hudson Hagmann (13th; 48.51); senior co-captains Jack Kelly (20th; 49.45) and Owen Theoharides (28th; 50.74); seniors Finn Kaeyer (35th; 52.05) and Anup Pilla (40th; 52.64); and sophomores Theo Satrazemis (42nd; 53.11) and Ray Slough (59th; 55.49).
The Warrior girls were led by junior Paige Leung who finished second in the race overall (out of 129 skiers) in 50.34 seconds. Junior Georgia Polito then placed 8th (52.25) followed by junior Kellogg Pettibone (15th; 53.62); sophomore Polina Popova (19th; 55.2); senior co-captains Kate Rusin (21st; 56.4) and Molly Kaeyer (28th; 57.61); junior Claudia La Orden Oro (39th; 50.02); senior Phoebe Bragg (40th; 59.12); and freshmen Nola Levy (42nd; 59.68) and Libby Elias (43rd; 59.97).
