Wilton Launches Traveling Mural To Promote Community Belonging And Artistic Expression
Wilton's first traveling mural, created by artist Brian Kaspr, will visit public sites to highlight unity and inclusion.

WILTON, CT — A collaborative art project inspired by Wilton Pride's #WiltonIsWhereYouBelong campaign is set to travel throughout town, promoting community, inclusivity, and creativity.
The mural, designed by Norwalk-based abstract artist Brian Kaspr and painted by attendees of the Third Annual Wilton Pride “Be You” Festival, marks the town’s first-ever traveling public art installation. Created in partnership with Wilton Pride, Wilton Library, and the Wilton Youth Council’s Wilton Coalition for Youth, the piece reflects ongoing efforts to foster belonging among residents of all backgrounds.
“This mural is a visual reminder that with simple community participation toward a common goal, we can make something larger than ourselves and altogether new,” said Kaspr. “We all belong, and together we are whole.”

Following its debut at the festival, the mural began its year-long journey at Wilton Library, with planned stops at the Wilton Congregational Church, Wilton Presbyterian Church, Wilton Family YMCA, Wilton Public Schools, and Trackside Teen Center. The rotating display aims to spark dialogue and connection while reinforcing the message of acceptance.
Wilton Pride Board Member Heidi Tsapelas, who painted part of the mural with her family, said the experience was both meaningful and joyful. “Watching the Wilton community come together and participate in the creation of this beautiful piece of art, symbolizing belonging and acceptance, was truly powerful,” she said.
