Wilton Man Charged After Unprovoked Stabbing Injures Two: Police

Wilton man faces multiple charges after stabbing two adults in an unprovoked attack in MA, police say.

WILTON, CT — A Wilton man has been charged in an unprovoked stabbing at a Massachusetts campground.

On July 18 at 8:13 p.m., police responded to a reported stabbing at a campground on Scott Road in Lanesborough, MA.

Authorities say Jeffrey Deluca, 47, of Wilton, stabbed two adults, one in the upper torso and the other in the chest. Both victims were taken to Berkshire Regional Medical Center for treatment.

The incident was described as an unprovoked attack that occurred in the presence of several young children. Both victims were released from the hospital as of Monday, Lanesborough Police Chief Robert Derksen confirmed to Patch.

Deluca was taken into custody and charged with two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, three counts of reckless endangerment of a child, two counts of assault to murder armed, and assault causing serious bodily injury.
