According to police, the first vehicle was traveling south on Ridgefield Road and had stopped behind another car waiting to turn left onto Keelers Ridge Road. A second vehicle, also heading south, slowed and came to a stop behind the first. A third vehicle, driven by G. Reyesalonzo of Mount Kisco, New York, failed to reduce speed and struck the rear of the second vehicle, which was then pushed into the first.

The third vehicle sustained significant front-end damage and was towed from the scene. Police issued Reyesalonzo an infraction for following too closely, which was determined to be the primary cause of the crash.

Several individuals, including drivers and passengers in the involved vehicles, were evaluated by Wilton EMS. All sustained minor or no apparent injuries and declined transport to the hospital.
