A car hit a man walking his bicycle yesterday late afternoon on Rte 33, inflicting head and leg injuries.

A car struck and injured a 67-year-old man walking his bicycle along the northbound lane of Rte. 33 near Hillside Cemetery yesterday at 4:35p.m, according to the Wilton Police Department.
Police said witnesses reported the driver stopping and exiting the vehicle to check up on the struck bicyclist, who was lying on the street. However, when police started to arrive on the scene, witnesses told police that the driver, identified as Lorenzo Villasenor, 61, of New Canaan, got back in his car and drove away.
