Wilton Mom Has Volunteered In Her Church & Community For Decades

Patch and T-Mobile are partnering to shine a light on awesome moms in the Wilton area. Meet Anne Novitsky!

WILTON, CT— Moms do so much for everyone around them. We try to celebrate them all year long, but Mother's Day is a perfect opportunity to shout it from the rooftops and post it on Patch: Mom rocks!

Here at Patch we've launched an initiative to help recognize the awesome moms and mom figures in communities like yours.

This submission comes from Michael Novitsky who nominated Anne Novitsky of Wilton.

What makes your Mom extra special?

She has volunteered for five decades, including volunteering as the preschool president, and teaching the learning disabled for ten years. CDC head of Sacred Heart Church, leading Ladies Guild at Our Lady of Fatima, weekly Eucharistic Minister for three local nursing homes. Weekly bread delivery for two soup kitchens, lunch for Danbury soup kitchen. Mentor for three Norwalk youths. Twenty years as the president/board member for Glen River Condos. Part of the choir for 50 years at Sacred Heart Church in Georgetown. Twenty years as Landscape Chairwoman for Glen River Condos.

Why do you feel your Mom deserves the spotlight?

Most of her life has been volunteering to help people.
