Wilton Police Conclude Handicap Enforcement Campaign

On November 19th the department concluded its 2-week handicapped parking educational/enforcement campaign. During the period officers of the department made a total of sixty (60) business contacts providing informational flyers on how to properly mark a handicapped parking space on their property. In addition, officers made a total of fourteen (14) enforcement contacts during the period. In one instance a violator was issued a citation for using a deceased family member's handicapped placard.

While the campaign has concluded the department will continue its enforcement of handicapped parking violations.
