Wilton Police Department Welcomes New Officer Lauren Filardi

Former Wilton teacher Lauren Filardi joins the Wilton Police Department after working in domestic violence prevention.

WILTON, CT — The Wilton Police Department has added a new officer to its ranks, officially welcoming Officer Lauren Filardi on March 28.

Filardi, who graduated cum laude from the University of Scranton in 2023 with a degree in counseling and human services, most recently worked as a prevention educator at the Domestic Violence Crisis Center and has taught at Wilton High School.

She comes from a law enforcement family—her father is a retired detective with the White Plains Police Department and her brother-in-law serves with the Albany Police Department.

Wilton Police Chief Thomas Conlan congratulated Filardi for completing the department’s rigorous background checks and testing requirements. During the swearing-in ceremony, Filardi’s father, Michael, presented her with her new Wilton Police badge.

“We wish Officer Filardi a lengthy and fulfilling career with the Wilton Police Department,” the department said in a statement.
