Bridgeport Man Faces Charges in Wilton Bank Fraud Case
A Bridgeport man faces multiple charges following a months-long investigation into fraudulent bank activity reported by a Wilton resident in June.

According to police, the resident contacted the department on June 17 after discovering unauthorized transactions. Investigators identified 57-year-old Meloyd N. Golden of Dewey Street, Bridgeport, as the person responsible. A warrant was issued on Sept. 26 by Stamford Superior Court, and Golden later turned himself in on Nov. 7.
He was charged with third-degree larceny, payment card theft, and illegal use of a revoked payment card. Golden was released after posting 7 percent of a $50,000 bond and is scheduled to appear at Stamford Superior Court on Nov. 18.

Two Drivers Injured in New Canaan Road Crash
Two motorists were hospitalized following a head-on collision on New Canaan Road near Katydid Lane on Nov. 3.
Police said a 2011 Honda CR-V driven by 18-year-old Emma Burns Bomann of Trumbull crossed the double yellow line and struck a 2010 Volkswagen Passat driven by Elizabeth Powell, 22, of New Canaan. Both vehicles sustained significant front-end damage and were towed from the scene.
A witness reported seeing the Honda swerve across lanes before the crash. Both drivers were transported to Norwalk Hospital with minor injuries. Bomann was cited for reckless driving and is due in court Nov. 10.
Police Seek Owner of Jacket Found on Newtown Turnpike
Wilton police are seeking the owner of a leather jacket found Nov. 7 on Newtown Turnpike between Calvary Hill Road and Stonebridge Road.
Anyone who believes the jacket may belong to them is asked to contact Wilton Police Dispatch at 203-834-6260 and provide a description to confirm ownership. The department also reminds residents that other lost property, including keys and phones, is held by the property officer.
