WILTON, CT — Four Connecticut high school seniors — including one from Wilton — have been named 2025 U.S. Presidential Scholars, one of the nation’s highest honors for graduating students, the U.S. Department of Education announced.
The scholars are:
- Courtney Elizabeth Allen of Wilton High School
- Eli Max Gold of Simsbury High School
- Ashley Taylor Malkin of Greenwich High School
- Chloe Ann Weaver of Nonnewaug High School in Oxford
The program recognizes students for achievements in academics, the arts, and career and technical education. This year, 161 seniors were selected nationwide for the honor, now in its 61st year. Students are chosen from a pool of semifinalists based on academic records, essays, school evaluations, transcripts, and evidence of leadership, community service, and high ideals.
