Woman Arrested For Stealing $3 Baby Wipes at Wilton CVS
A 27-year-old Stamford woman has been charged with sixth-degree larceny for the theft of $2.99 worth of baby wipes.

On Monday, Dec. 19, Wilton police arrested a woman for stealing $2.99 worth of baby wipes from , according to police reports.
Police said they received a complaint from CVS employees about a possible female shoplifter. The woman left the store prior to the arrival of officers, but police were able to track her down, police said.
After speaking with the accused, a 27-year-old woman identified as Ruth Pitho-Mbwa, from Stamford, confessed that she had “admitted to making a mistake by taking the baby wipes,” according to Lieutenant Donald Wakeman of the The accused did not say why she took the wipes, police said.

Police charged the accused with larceny in the sixth degree. She was released on a promise to appear in court.
