Chinese Comes to Windsor Center

Peking Chinese Restaurant has increased the number of affordable and late-night options in town.

Windsor Center is now home to Chinese takeout in the form of Zhen Li's Peking Chinese Restaurant.

Having opened its doors on Sun. June 16, residents are taking notice, and restaurant staff say its most popular menu items are its ribs and General Tso's chicken.

What's also making a splash at the new eatery are its combination plates.

Peking is the only Chinese restaurant north of Wilson that has combination plates on its menu, said Windsor resident Jeff MacClintic, who was picking up dinner for his family Monday night.

"I'm coming here from now on," said MacClintic.

Peking also becomes one of the few late-night options in town, as the restaurant is open until 10:30 p.m. during the week and 11 p.m. on the weekend.
