Referendum is Tuesday; Find Your Polling Place

A look at polling places and the budget residents can vote on Tuesday in Windsor.

Polls will be open Tues., May 14 from 6 a.m. until 8 p.m., allowing Windsor residents to show their support or shoot down a budget approved by the town council. 

Council members sent a $101.2 million budget to referendum weeks ago, after reducing Town Manager Peter Souza's proposal by $1 million.

Among the most controversial cuts made was a $100 thousand reduction in funds requested by the board of education.

The budget residents will vote on Tuesday represents a 2.18 percent tax hike, before revaluation is considered.

Where can you vote?

Voters in Windsor are assigned to a polling location when they are registered to vote. Unsure of which district your house is in? You can enter your address in the Voter Locations data base to make sure you know where to go to vote.

Windsor will use the following polling locations:

  • L.P. Wilson Community Center - District 1
  • J.F. Kennedy School - District 2
  • 330 Windsor Ave. - District 3
  • Windsor Town Hall - District 4
  • Oliver Ellsworth School - District 5
  • Poquonock School - District 6
  • Rainbow Firehouse - District 7
