Cat Removed From Windsor Locks Condo After Fire Saturday

No injuries were reported, but residents of four units were temporarily displaced from their homes, according to the American Red Cross.

WINDSOR LOCKS, CT — An afternoon fire Saturday at a condominium complex left four families, consisting of seven adults, temporarily being dislodged from their homes.

Smoke was reported coming from the basement of a unit on Pheasant Court in the Woodlands complex. The first firefighters arriving at the scene "found significant smoke coming from the dwelling," according to fire personnel.

The fire was located and extinguished. Neighboring condos were found to have a smoke condition and ventilated, fire personnel said.

A cat was removed from the condo. No injuries were reported, fire personnel said.

The American Red Cross was brought in to aid the families affected by the fire.
