East Windsor Walmart Among 3 Where Credit Card Skimming Devices Found
Surveillance photos from the Brooklyn (CT) Walmart have been released by state police, who are asking for help in identifying the suspects.

BROOKLYN/EAST WINDSOR, CT — State police have released surveillance photos of two people believed involved in placement of a credit card skimming device on self-checkout registers in several Walmart stores, including East Windsor.
A skimming device was found on a register at the Brooklyn Walmart. In the last several days, similar complaints have been received by the East Windsor Police Department and the Lisbon Resident Trooper office, state police said.
The same individuals are believed to be involved in all three cases, state police said.

Police advise shoppers to protect themselves from skimmers by inspecting ATMs, POS terminals and other card readers before using.

"Look for anything loose, crooked, damaged, or scratched. Don't use any card reader if you notice anything unusual. Pull at the edges of the keypad before entering your PIN. Report anything that is suspicious," police said.
