EAST WINDSOR, CT — A man who police said was considered dangerous was taken into custody Wednesday morning after East Windsor police helped state parole officers track him down at a home in town.

Police said they were assisting parole officers in serving a Take Into Custody Order for Joshua Montanez, 38, who had escaped from a halfway house in late December. Parole officers received information that Montanez was staying at a residence on South Main Street.

At around 10:30 a.m., East Windsor police and parole officers set up a perimeter around the home and went inside to look for him. Officers also used K-9 Mylo during the search.
