#ChristinaCelebrates: National Special Education Day

First celebrated in 2005, National Special Education Day marks the anniversary of the signing of the Individuals with Disabilities Education

(Christina School District | Public Information Office)

December 2 is #NationalSpecialEducationDay, a day to celebrate the accomplishments of special education students and their teachers across the country!

First celebrated in 2005, National Special Education Day marks the anniversary of the nation’s first federal special education law that makes available free and quality education to children with disabilities nationwide. President Gerald Ford signed the law on November 29, 1975.

Thank you to our special education teachers, paraprofessionals, specialists, and staff for all your hard work and support you provide to our students.
