Man charged with murdering Delaware woman on Christmas Eve (fox29.com) — A 68-year-old woman died after an assault on North Lincoln Street in Wilmington on Christmas Eve, and police have charged 50-year-old Dario Griner with first-degree murder and weapons offenses. Officers found the victim critically injured around 6 p.m., and she later died at the hospital. Authorities have not yet released her name or a possible motive.

Hannah Dell named new communications director for Diocese of Wilmington; Bob Krebs retiring (thedialog.org) — A longtime communications leader for the Catholic Diocese of Wilmington, Bob Krebs, is retiring after 25 years, and Bishop William Koenig has appointed Hannah R. Dell as his successor starting January 16. Dell brings extensive experience from the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops and will help share stories of Catholic life across Delaware and Maryland’s Eastern Shore, including Wilmington’s parishes, schools, and ministries.
