State Police Investigating Fatal Pedestrian Hit-and-Run Crash in Wilmington (delaware.gov) — A woman from Texas was killed Sunday night in a hit-and-run on East Lea Boulevard near Colony Boulevard in Wilmington, and Delaware State Police are asking for the public’s help identifying the vehicle involved. The road was closed for about two hours, and investigators are seeking witnesses, dashcam footage, or surveillance video. Victim support services are available 24/7 through the State Police Victim Services Unit.

First Day Hikes in Delaware to start the new year in nature (delawareonline.com) — Several New Year’s Day “First Day Hikes” are planned in and around Wilmington, including a guided walk through Brandywine Park starting at 1001 N.
