Students at Chesterbrook Academy® Preschool Release Ladybugs
On April 22, students celebrated Earth Day and protecting the environment by releasing thousands of beneficial bugs into their schoolyard
On April 22, students at Chesterbrook Academy Preschool in Coconut Creek bugged out in celebration of Earth Day as they released thousands of ladybugs throughout the schoolyard and back into the environment on plants, flowers, and trees. Students were also dressed for the occasion in the likeness of ladybugs, wearing red and black clothing and antennae.
Leading up to Earth Day, students learned that ladybugs serve as a natural pesticide by feeding on insects that could otherwise harm the health of gardens, trees, and shrubs. Chesterbrook Academy Preschool teaches the importance of caring for the Earth and exploring nature at an early age.
