1 Teen Charged, Another Person Sought in Middle School Shooting Incident
Someone fired a shot into the air Friday afternoon on the campus of Johnson Middle School in Bradenton, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.
A teenager has been arrested and another person is being sought by authorities following a shooting incident that occurred Friday afternoon at Johnson Middle School in Bradenton.
A 15-year-old boy was charged with trespassing on school grounds, the Manatee County Sheriff's Office said Friday night. He is not believed to be the shooter, according to a sheriff's office spokesperson, but detectives have also developed another "person of interest" they believe was involved.
Deputies say someone fired a gun in the air sometime around 3:05 p.m. Friday on the campus of Johnson Middle, causing that school and Wakeland Elementary to briefly go on lockdown, the Sarasota Herald-Tribune reports.

Two people seen on school grounds fled the scene, one on bicycle and one on foot, deputies said.
