13-Year-Old Bradenton Teen Arrested In Football Shooting Incident
A football game was disrupted when a gun was fired during a fight between several teens. One is now in custody, police said.

BRADENTON, FL — A teen is facing charges in connection with a shooting that took place during a high school football game this week in Manatee County.
Palmetto police detectives said a single shot was fired during a fight between multiple teens Wednesday attending a football game at Palmetto High School.
Investigators said they interviewed multiple witnesses and identified a 13-year-old boy from Bradenton as the shooter.

Police said they believe that the fight was part of an on-going feud between several teen boys.
Detectives said they arrested the 13-year-old Thursday night at his home and is currently in custody. Investigators said they executed a search warrant at his home at the time of the arrest and recovered the handgun used to fire the shot.

On Wednesday evening immediately after the fight, detectives said another gun was found on the ground where the fight took place.
Investigators said they are still working to identify who dropped this handgun, as well as how the teens were able to obtain the handguns and bring them into the game.
