The luncheon takes place February 24 and offers an opportunity to mingle with management, meet some players and get pumped for the 2012 Season. Space is limited. 4. Manatee County Commissioners will hold a worksession this afternoon to discuss dredging at Longboat Key Pass and to learn about the Inlet Management Study and ways to continue funding maintenance of the inlet. The worksession begins at 1:30 p.m.

5. Manatee Players is offering a 4-week workshop every Wednesday in March from 11 a.m. to noon for men and women 60 and over who don't have theater experience. The $20 workshop will be taught by Rick Kerby. The Players are forming DraMature, a group that will begin by presenting radio shows. Eventually DraMature players will be available to perform at the Crosley Estate and at meetings of organizations requesting entertainment. Veteran actress Georgette Thomas, last seen in the Manatee Player's production of CRAZY FOR YOU, has agreed to be a founding member of DraMature.
