6 Manatee County Coronavirus Testing Sites Available

BRADENTON, FL — Manatee County residents can get tested for the new coronavirus at one of six locations.

"Three days after county commissioners authorized funding to purchase additional COVID-19 collection kits, nearly 800 have been obtained," county officials announced Thursday.

The Manatee County Commissioners also voted earlier this week to lift a curfew put in place to protect people during the coronavirus outbreak. The curfew had been in effect from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m.

“We are so appreciative of this opportunity to work with MCR Health to provide a quick turnaround on critical COVID-19 tests for residents of Manatee County,” County Administrator Cheri Coryea said. “Together with the additional tests offered by the Department of Health, hundreds more local residents can now find a test without hassle. And I want our residents to know that much more is being done to secure additional testing for coming weeks."

The Florida Department of Health will operate a second drive-through testing site next week at Bradenton Area Convention Center. Testing will be available from Wednesday through Friday for up to 80 patients each day.

CR Health is offering 500 coronavirus testing kits at five Manatee County locations. Patient fees for the testing and any associated costs will be determined at the time of the visit.
