60-Year-Old Stabbed While Fighting Burglar, Deputies Say
The Bradenton resident spotted two men stealing items from his garage and tried to stop them.

A 60-year-old Bradenton resident was stabbed three times in the back when he allegedly tried to stop a pair of intruders from stealing items out of his garage, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.
William Holder III stepped outside his home, at 7129 28th Ave. West, to smoke a cigarette Tuesday night and noticed his garage door open.
Holder walked over to his garage to see items in the walkway and two suspects inside.

Deputies say that Holder grabbed one of the suspects and forced him to the ground. But the second suspect jumped on top of Holder and stabbed him three times in the back.
Holder released the suspect, and the two ran away. The suspects were not located. They are described as about 5’6” tall and 130 pounds each. One wore a gray hoodie and the other a white T-shirt.

The Sheriff's Department did not mention the condition of the stabbing victim.
