Adoptable Dog of the Week: Dandy is a Playful Girl

This week's adoptable pet is Dandy an exuberant mixed breed puppy who loves to play.

Dandy, a one-and-a-half year old spayed female,still has a lot of puppy in her. She knows sit and down, but she needs to practice it. She would benefit from obedience school. Dandy has been with Manatee County Animal Services since March 3, when he was picked up in the 600 block of 59th Avenue Drive West. You can visit Dandy at the county's downtown adoption center today or next week. The downtown adoption center is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.

This is a great month to adopt Dandy. Manatee County Animal Services is offering a $25 adoption fee for dogs through May for educators appreciation month. Adoptions include spay/neuter, vaccinations, health check, microchip and current rabies certificate/tag. This adoption special is another step in the County’s plan to become a no-kill community.
