Adoptable Cat of the Week: Lucy is One Laid Back Cat

She's just one of the animals available for adoption at the downtown adoption center.

This week's adoptable pet is Lucy, a georgeous brown and white tiger domestic short hair.

Lucy, is a two year old spayed female and is quite laid back.  She has been with Manatee County Animal Services since Dec. 22, when he was found out in Tuscan Lakes in Ellenton. You can visit Lucy at the county's downtown adoption center next week or at the Palmetto adoption center for Animal Services. The downtown center is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. The Palmetto location is open weekdays and also on Saturdays. The downtown center's schedule is set to change this month to include Saturday hours.

Manatee County Animal Services is offering a $30 adoption fee for dogs through the end of March. Cats are always available at 2-for 1 prices. Adoptions include spay/neuter, vaccinations, health check, microchip and current rabies certificate/tag. This adoption special is another step in the County’s plan to become a no-kill community.
