Adoptable Dog of the Week: Boots is a Sweet Puppy
She's just one of the pets up for adoption at the county's downtown center.
This week's adoptable dog is Boots, a black and white pit bull mix.
Boots, an eight month old spayed female, loves to snuggle on a lap. She will sit for a treat and loves to please. Boots is definitely a puppy and will need a family who is willing to take time and work with her. Boots has been with Manatee County Animal Services since April 18, when she was transferred from Sarasota. You can visit Boots at the county's downtown adoption center today or next week. The downtown adoption center is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
This is a great month to adopt Boots. Manatee County Animal Services is offering a $60 adoption fee for dogs through June. But in honor of June 11, considered a national no kill day, all dogs will be avaialbe for $10. Check out other dogs as well. Animal Services is offering a few dogs free to good homes. Check out Tucker: He's a great boy and free to a great home. Adoptions include spay/neuter, vaccinations, health check, microchip and current rabies certificate/tag. This adoption special is another step in the County’s plan to become a no-kill community.
