Adoptable Dog of the Week: Gus Will Snuggle With You
He's just one of the pets up for adoption at the county's downtown center.
This week's adoptable pet is Gus, a Shar Pei mix who wants to snuggle.
Gus, a four-and-a-half year old neutered male, is a gentle boy who wants to be a lap dog, when he's not running outside. He know how to sit and does well on walks. Gus has been with Manatee County Animal Services since Feb. 21, when he was picked up in the 1100 block of 50th Avene Plaza in West Bradenton. You can visit Gus at the county's downtown adoption center today or next week. The downtown adoption center is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
This is a great month to adopt Gus. Manatee County Animal Services is offering a $25 adoption fee for dogs through May for educators appreciation month. Adoptions include spay/neuter, vaccinations, health check, microchip and current rabies certificate/tag. This adoption special is another step in the County’s plan to become a no-kill community.
